We are very selective about the items we accept. Our customers expect that and love us for it. Please see the list of items we do not take at the end of the clothing calendar and visit our " How to Consign " section for guidlines on how our shop works.

 

January - Think Spring

• light coloured ( beige, cream, pastels ) cords, pants, suits.
• medium weight sweaters and scarves.
• light coloured tweeds, tweed / wool capris.
• light coloured blazers / jackets.
• fashion boots, closed toe shoes, purses, belts & jewellery.

February

• lighter & brighter cotton sweaters, tops, tees, 3/4 sleeve tops, knits.
• lighter coloured mid-weight skirts, cords, tweeds, *no wool.
• light jackets, blazers, and silk scarves.
• fashion boots, closed toe shoes, purses, belts & jewellery.

March - Spring

• short sleeved dresses *no sun dresses until May. *no bridal wear or full length prom gowns.
• tees, light jackets, blazers and silk scarves.
• closed toe shoes, purses, belts & jewellery. *no more boots unless rainboots.

April

• summer short sleeved dresses *hold off on sundresses until May.
• knee or cocktail length formal wear *no bridal wear or full length prom gowns.
• summer tees, tanks, capris, skirts, linen clothing.
• no more blazers, jackets, unless a light windbreaker.
• hold off on swimwear until April.
• sandals, purses, belts, and jewellery.

May through July - Summer

• sundresses, swimwear, shorts, short sleeve blouses, tanks.
• summer weight denim capris, linen pants.
• no more full length denim pants or jackets unless summer weight / chambray.

August / September - Fall

• darker coloured pants, tops *no more capris.
• darker coloured mid weight sweaters and cardigans, *hold off on heavy weight sweaters until October.
• darker coloured blazers, unlined leather jackets and blazer style leather.
• fashion boots, closed toe shoes, purses, belts & jewellery. *no more sandals.
• hold off on winter boots, winter coats, turtlenecks and woolie sweaters until mid October.

October / November - Full Winter

• woolie sweaters / turtlenecks
• winter coats, gloves, mitts, toques, scarves.
• festive holiday wear.
• winter boots, closed toe shoes, purses, belts & jewellery.

 

December - We will not be accepting clothing. We are very busy with Christmas Decor and Gifts during the Christmas season.

 

We do not take

• pleated or high waisted pants unless size 18+
• items with large shoulder pads
• bridal wear or full length prom gowns.
• promotional or corporate wear - Beaverdale Lodge, Evergreen Golf Club, Molson / Labatts, Cancun Mexico, Disney World, etc.
• pleather pants, skirts - only high end jackets.
• maternity, lingerie, or sleep wear.
• furs.
• children's or men's wear.
• vintage clothing - unless absolutely unique and spectacular.
• women's clothing over size 22
• dirty / unlaundered clothing.
• clothing with stains, odours, pet hair, lint, excessive wrinkles or piling.
• clothing showing any visible sign of wear.
• clothing that is more than 2 years old / discontinued labels e.g. Braemer, Mr.Leonard, Dalia.
• clothing from Giant Tiger, Penmans, 725, Carroll Reed, Vanity Fair - inexpensive items.

** Please check drycleaned clothes before they are brought in, drycleaning is not perfect and does not always get out stains. If your item has been drycleaned please leave the cleaning tag on.

 

***Items are accepted throughout the month. Up to 15 items can be brought without prior arrangements. More than 15 - please call ahead to make an appointment.
